2026 General Election Endorsements

EUREKA, CA -  The Humboldt County Democratic Central Committee (HCDCC) announces its official endorsements for the November 2026 election. 

Democratic candidates met with the HCDCC members on Saturday, August 22 and, after 4 hours of interviews with the qualifying candidates, the committee voted to endorse in the local following races:

Arcata City Council 

• Kimberly White

• Genevieve Serna
  

Eureka City Council

• Kim Bergel, Mayor

• Victor Garcia, Ward 1

• G Mario Fernandez, Ward 3 

• Jeff Leonard, Ward 5
  

Humboldt Community Services District Board

• Julie Ryan
  

The HCDCC believes the endorsed candidates embody the Democratic values of equity, dignity, and civil rights for all in each of our communities. 

We encourage you to vote on or by November 3rd.
